Emotional and Full House Delhi Screening of ‘Daughters of Mother India’ on the eve of Nirbhaya’s death anniversary that shook the nation’s conscience. Film screening followed by a standing ovation that lasted half an hour while the stakeholders of society addressed the audience.

in syllabus of 200 Maharashtra schools

His Eminence Cardinal Oswald Gracias presides over the screening of ‘Daughters of Mother India’. Cardinal’s office issues statement that 200 Jesuit Schools in Maharashtra will screen ‘Daughters of Mother India’ for classes 8-12 as part of the gender sensitization programs introduced in schools.

Police across India are screening the film
to gender sensitize the force

A never before in the world where the Police have come together to join forces and take an active stand against the issue of gender violence.
The film is being screened across the Police force in India, starting with the Commissioner of Police, Mumbai with a police force of 50,000 officers and Commissioner of Police in India’s capital Delhi, which has the largest Police force in India comprising of 80,000 officers.

For the first time, Commissioner of Police Delhi, Mr. Neeraj Kumar granted persmission for a camera to be allowed inside the Delhi Police Control and Command room, right after the brutal rape and murder of Nirbhaya.

create a PSA campaign for Police-Public partnership to build trust between the Police and Public so more women come forward to report a sexual crime.

For the first time, a dozen policemen and women who investigated some of the most brutal and disturbing incidents of sexual assault in the city in the past two years have spoken of their emotions while conducting their investigations.

The campaign was released by the Chief Minister of Maharashtra in Mumbai for 22 million Mumbai residents.

POLICY MAKERS FELICITATE MAKERS OF ‘DAUGHTERS OF MOTHER INDIA’

Present at the recent TEDxWalled City 2015 in the city, Ted speaker Vibha Bakshi, director/producer of the film that won the National Award addressed the audience regarding the need for gender equality. The 62nd National Award-winning documentary titled Daughters of Mother India had not just received accolades, but hearts of the people worldwide.

On 23rd September, a day after the International Peace Day, Bhavishya Yaan students of the GK Marg Municipal School were taken through a screening of ‘Daughters of Mother India’, which won the National Film Award for best film by the President of India.
